I did a soft restart and prevented my phone to install all the clutter. I have HTC plugin on my phone now and everything is working great. But just recently I noticed that I can't instant message or set my phone up with it the option. My friend hasn't prevented everything from installing yet and is still able to use instant messenger. My questions is... which cab file can I click and install to get that option back in my messaging options.
I actually figured out how to fix the problem. The bloat ware isn't installed, but the files are all still there...
The company that makes the instant messanger for the HTC phone, is OZ. I think its an exe... or cab file... its in the windows directory on your phone. There's two files titled OZ... or have OZ in the title... i installed both. Now I got IM on my phone again.
If someone could make a list of the cab files and what each one does, that would be soooooooooo awesome. Pick and choose what you want on your phone.

I installed both OZ programs to my storage card and IM program will not start
I click on the IM icon on the today screen and nothing happens. If I go to the OZ file that I downloaded to my storage card the IM program will launch. Anyone else have this problem after doing the bloat trick? Last post says it worked. Did it work from today screen or only from the OZ file? Thanks.

I don't use the today plug-in for it. I downloaded the OZ Instant Messenger from the XDA link above and it installed the Instant Messenger icon in the Start/Programs area.
I got it to work. I just installed both of the OZ files from the windows folder on my mobile device directly to it and not the storage card. That's all it takes they self installed and now I have all 3 IM's.

I only found 2files in my windows folder. one is an install file "OZIM_HomePlug_20Jul07" the other "OZIM_Home_Plugin" when i click the second it says "there is no app associated...."
I installed the other one. Still no aim. Whats the next step, or where did i got wrong??
THE PROBLEM:
I try to sign on to aim, it gives the following message "Communication Error. Please try again or check your settings. IM is not supported over wi-fi connections."

Of course im not on wi-fi.
theres nothing wrong with the install. its ATT's server itself. those IM programs run thru ATT's servers. i get that message alot during peak times. also if you hadnt noticed, there's like a 30sec to 1min delay in relay of the messages.
