sprite back up

Unless I missed something the sprite back up that comes with our Tilts..is somewhat limited. The full edition

Sprite Backup - $29.95

lets me back up everything on my tilt to my PC and creates a self-restoring backup file...nice interface too.

also check out their "terminator" program.

The lite version is only $20 & that is probably all you need. Yes, the Tilt does ship with a lot of trialware.

Personally, I never had any success using Terminator, found their support lacking and actually asked for my money back, which I did get.

Unfortunately, I have had issues with trying to Restore from Sprite Backup, so I have been using Spb Backup successfully for the past 2 years. Resco Backup, which is still abeta also looks promising.

Do the backup on your tilt & move the file over to your PC when connected with activesync.

How do you uninstall the version that comes with the Tilt? I don't find it in Remove Programs or via Active Sync. I'm guessing because it's been preinstalled to the operating system, but Sprite says to upgrade you should remove previous version. Anyone done it?

has anyone ever figured out how to "get around" the password problem? I woke today to find my CF card wiped. How the freak this happens, I don't know. Thing is, I do have a backup file, but it wants a password that I don't know. I think if your not careful during install (ME) it puts a default password in.
