The Following User Says Thank You to Julie For This Useful Post:
I judged the fitness category in the Smartphone & Pocket PC Best Software Awards this past year. In that capacity, I reviewed VidaOne's "My Sport Training" and "My Personal Diet." Out of all the other nominees in the category, I thought their software was the best.
I have used one of their earlier applications (My Running Log) for several years (actually purchased from the original developer) and been satisfied with it. I have not used the GPS application, but I think I'll install it on my GPS enabled hw6925 and take it for a run.

I've recently discovered Trackr. It's free, easy to use and can be used to track any activity via GPS. IF you've got a windows mobile device and data connection, Trackr will upload your progress in 60 second intervals (you can change this setting, but 60 seconds is fine with me).
You'll need to set up a user name and password on Trackr. Then download & install the software to your device. You can set your profile to public or private (so only friends can view your live & saved tracks).
Another cool thing about Trackr is, if you take pictures with your cellphone and upload them to Flickr while your doing your Trackr thing, the pictures will show up as clickable icons on your Track at about the same place that the picture was taken (Trackr matches the time/date stamp of the picture with the time/date of the track).
If you do any kind of outside activities, you really have to try out Trackr.

This looks like a very useful piece of software Julie, but hiding it in a thread about workout programs may not be such a good idea.
Since my workout consists of lifting weights by the pint I almost didn't read your post.
I'm probably going to write up an article about it because I like it so much - you take your motorcycle out regularly don't you? It would be cool for that kind of stuff too.
I posted it here because I hoped the folks who originally posted in this thread would see it, if they are still around - some people receive email notifications when a new post is made to a thread.

And yes, I will probably post about this on my Motorbike forum.
But even more so for my family, they are always wondering where I am in the world, this might be a very nice way for them to keep track without me having to make a lot of effort.
An excellent concept for travellers and their holiday snaps.
I will certainly be looking into it in more detail tomorrow.
I would highly recommend VidaOne "My Sport training". I have been using it for few months now and it's great! Many reports showing your progress - speed, distance, personal bests, etc. Keep you motivated.
I have also tried it with their gps add-in. It worked good, but for running wasn't very convinient. You have to carry pocket pc and gps while running. I believe it will be more convinient with cycling.
