Can't Sync with Exchange: ActiveSync error 0x80070070

I keep getting this error in ActiveSync ("Result: There is not enough free memory on your device to synchronize information. Delete unused files from your device to free up memory." Support code: 0x80070070) and my calendar and email wont sync with my Tilt. I have over 5MB of free space, which is more than I usually have free. I've had my Tilt since the end of October and have never encountered this error. I had a long post drafted about what happens and what I did to try to fix it, but I had it open too long and my login timed out. The short story: since I upgraded to BandSwitch 2.5 yesterday I can't reliably sync to Microsoft Exchange and I get the above error. I don't think this is feasibly a BandSwitch issue, but it's the only thing I've done to my Tilt over the past few days.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, and if more information is needed I'd be happy to provide it. Thanks.

5mb???? if you only have 5mb storage left, then no, you dont have enough memory... you should have something in the area of 50mb...

if you want to get the most out of email storage, set your mails to be stored on your sd card with sktools or similar reg tweak...

Thanks for the reply. I'm surprised that 50mb is neeeded; usually 5mb for me has not been a problem.

So I want to get my mail off my phone to gain back some space (I don't need to put it on an SD card, I just want to get rid of it), so I went to ActiveSync and changed the settings to only load 1 month of email instead of all my emails, and I tried to both Sync and manually Send/Receive and I still get the same error and none of older emails were removed. How can I make the change stick? I don't want to simply delete old emails from the phone since then they would be deleted from my real Inbox. Do I need to delete the email account in Outlook Express and set it up again? Actually, forget that option; the delete option for my Outlook account is greyed out so I can't even delete it.

you configure an exchange server through activesync on your device...

id just delete the server and start over. that wont delete any emails on the server.

...also within messaging, if you go to menu, tools, options... click on the storage tab and select your storage card to store attachments. empty deleted items manually... also look into using sktools to move messages to the sd card as well.
