Keyboard lag

Ok.. i communicate mostly through text messages and emails and have upgraded from the 8125. one thing i noticed immediately that's just become totally irritating is the lag from the keyboard type... to showing up on the screen. i constantly have to stop typing and allow the text to catch up on screen so i can check for typos or just read what i typed. it's soooooo annoying. it's happend on both cooked and oem roms. anybody else have this problem?

I have been using my Tilt since it came out and have never noticed a typing lag. It is widely publicized about the lag in screen rotation because of the video driver issue.

If you are flashing ROMs my guess is that you are not a nOOb and know how to make sure there isn't a ton of running programs that have not been closing because of the stupid WinMo X button.

Other than that, I would have to say it is part of the Video Driver Lag Issue...

Search TiltSite.com. I have a ton of posts on there regarding this issue and check out HTCClassAction.org

yeah.. i've been lurking the xda forums since my 8125 days (for over a year now). so i wouldn't consider myself n00b... more like.. n00b l33t. just a step up. surprising you haven't noticed it. It COULD be the amount of programs i use.. mostly spb stuff not much other than that.

I would be highly surprised if anyone had more programs than I do. I use shell and multi task the crap out of mine. For example, BT running, GPS WLS running, and typing a response to a Text message, never had a lag once in typing. Never. I have used mine non stop for the last six months. I have put more ROMS on my device than I can count. Never had a lag. Again, the screen rotation is an issue. Video Drivers are the culprit. There are a ton of people on xda examining the latest devices trying to see in they can find the drivers we need. My feeling is the XPERIA will not be the device as originally thought. It has the 7200A 524mHz processor. It appears form xda this may not work afterall. Who knows what will be the device we can steal the drivers from. But with HTC BIG announcement on MAy 6th, perhaps we will be clued in. TyTN III teaser perhaps? Check out TiltSite for my post on it.

you sound like me. spb mobileshell, pocket plus, diary, fianance, backup, and phone suite. i love spb stuff.. so functional.

on screen keyboard typing is ok (slightly laggy... not as bad), landscape from keyboard can get horrible. i've found that waiting a couple of seconds after the screen adjusts helps... but i'm a fast typer.. so it doens't help for too long.
