Edit number before calling

Hi all,

does anyone knows how to edit a number before calling?

I mean for example, one of my phone contact number is 1234 5678, but I need to add the country and area code to call him, but I do not want to make it permanent.

Is there a way to do it? I know this can be done with normal mobile phone not running on Windows Mobile OS.

You could open the contact to edit, copy the number, paste it into the dial box and then add the extra numbers.
But that seems like a lot of effort to me.
If you have the full international dialing number, it makes no difference where you call from.
If you are standing next to him in the same area code, it won't cost you any more just because your phone has all those extra number. The phone knows where it is and only uses the numbers it needs to.
If you are concerned that different countries have different dial out codes, you don't need to worry about that.
To call that number, saying it is in Miami, from Finland on a land line I would have to dial 990130512345678 but when using a mobile phone you replace the Dial out number (990) with + so the number in my mobile would read +130512345678
To the best of my knowledge this works anywhere in the world.
