Benefits of getting rid of bloatware

I know how to do it and was wondering what I will lose by doing it. I know some of the programs I will lose, but I am more concerned with any settings I will lose. Will I lose WiFi capability or will the at&T proxy be messed up? If I delete all of this will I still be able to do everything, without the programs? Will I have to tweak a lot of things after I do it to make the phone work correctly or will everything be set up the right way and all I will have to start doing is setting my programs on it.

you will have all the requared apps installed and drivers. it frees some memory up that all and improves the proforms some

There's a link from the xda site that has all of the AT&T cab files that you wouldn't get if you do this. The page seems to be timing out so when it comes back I'll edit this post.

I went ahead and did it. I know all of the programs that will not be available, I was just wondering if I was going to have to set up anything manually. Like the internet or messaging, but everything seems to be working without having to do any of that.
