This is exactly the program ive been looking for!! But it seems it has some deal breaking bugs i was wondering if anyone else was having the same issues as me. When the tilt is put in landscape mode the program doesnt show what you are typing in the message box, normally i could live with this but i find the tilts KB is the best method for texting. The other issue ive noticed is that if the programs open and running, like lets say you texted someone then set the tilt down without exiting the chat or maybe exiting the program in general sms-chat wont notify you of a new text received. I mean it doesnt show anything on the screen or play a sound or anything.

To bad i was really hoping this little piece of software was going to be the ticket for me. I also tried demo's of there other software and most of it seemed buggy and not ready to acually stick a price tag on.

Anyways i was just curious if anyone else has had these problems. Maybe its just my set up i tried three diffrent windows mobile 6.1 roms and the program had the same issue every time.

:( maybe someone could do me a favor and download VITO sms-chats trial test it out see if they have the same issues. I emailed there support and havent heard anything back.

I've used VITO sms-chat on my IPAQ hw6925. Since the screen on my hw6925 is 240x240, I can't comment on the landscape/portrait question you have.

If the application is open and maximized, I don't receive any audio notifications either, but if the application is minimized I receive an audio notification.....

I reviewed this software recently, and adding audio notification when the application is maximized was one of my suggestions to the developer (who read my review).

I've been reviewing this as well and I've found a few issues with it that make it a little "unfriendly"

the landscape text entry will become active if you click on the textbox (slightly annoying)

Ok I realize you have to click on the text input and it becomes active, the problem i am having is i click on the input feild and i see a curso i type the cursor moves but there is not text in the the box. I mean its there when i press send it sends the text i typed in it just the font seems to be invisible in the input box when in landscape.

Eh... I have used it, but didn't realise any issue with it. But since I have upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1, I have stop using it. Been using 6.1 threaded SMS since.

But the problem with 6.1 when texting in landscape mode, you cannot turn on the 'Cleartype', if not, you will not be able to see any recommended words when you type.

I actually bought SMS-Chat. Have zero problem using landscape mode on my tilt. Probably that companies best program. Definitely don't buy the suite. I just bought the suite a week and a half ago. Their GoodWin program is junk and they must know it or Winterface wouldn't be necessary.

huh ya i tried winterface and goodwin there both garbage spb shell is 100% better than both. Any shell that wont let you group icons into folders is crap.

Im curious though are you using winmo6 or 6.1. Im using 6.1 but i want sms chat mopre for the huge close buttons etc than threaded chat. I wonder why im having problems :(

I too have the same issue that you have described boorishid - when the app is in landscape mode I can see the cursor moving but no text. I too am using wm 6.1 on the Tytn 2. I'm pretty sure that I didn't have the same issue when using wm 6. it's a pain and rather defeats the purpose of the keyboard input which is what makes the Tytn 2 so easy to use. I haven't had a response either from support :-( if you do get a reply it would be good to hear...

yo i had this issue too. wut u have to do is get the newest version of sms-chat v 1.16 and it fixes the invisible typing issue. anonym.to - free dereferer service

I use this program and have no text entry problems. WM6.1 on Tilt

I had this program with the landscape mode typing in invisible. The issue is cleartype does not work well with this program. I had to disable cleartype and then the typing works fine.
