psionandy, my apologies if I was too quick to call you an SPM Mobile Shell fanboy, but I still think you were misleading the audience when you said: "Time, weather, calendar, appointments, system and message icons are the deciding factor. Thank goodness for trials. I would be kicking myself really hard if I had to by this first." I explained earlier where exactly you were wrog about this.

Next, harpgliss and rogue9, while I understand that you are active forum users and maybe modeators (not enough time to clear this out) and you want to support your fellow psionandy, this is in my opinion the least he needs. Anyway, I did not want to offend any of you in anyway. Also, I feel very good that you got offended (in vain by the way as it wwas not my purpose) when I called you SPB fanboys. It means you are not. And it means we can talk seriously.

Meanwhile I am working hard and preparing the answer to the long and somewhat exalted answer of psiohandy. For this I will need a couple of video and when it's ready, you'll see me here.

BTW, thanks to everybody for posting their feedback.

Thanks kkk... I sent you the email because In the interests of fairness you should have a chance to reply and clarify things. I await your big reply with interest. However to avoid more confusion where you said

.

I never said that! That was by a different poster. While I admit that "Time, weather, calendar, appointments, system and message icons" are present in winterface, my posting was an attempt to explain why they are handled better in mobile shell. It's the way they are handled better that is the 'deciding factor' that quilt reffered to.

I think in fairness to all parties concerned, kkk's replies may have come off harsher than possibly intended due to language differences, though it was Quilt, not psionandy, who made the "kicking myself" comment.

On a totally unrelated note, psionandy, what's up with that wacky sig?

I thought there was some 'misunderstanding' involved. Hence a quick email to KKK, rather than lettlng things stay unresolved.

The sig... theres a really scary story behind it. Look for the hidden links and don't scratch

Hi,

Nice to see some movement in this thread.

I still stand by what I put in my original post but see no need to keep this going on longer.

You give this a glowing review. O.K.

But then post you got the full version from somewhere and recommend others do the same.

I am confused, if you use it and plan to continue use it, buy it.

Do not brag of using warez and recommend others do it too.

It is wrong and also against the rules of this site.

By using warez, you are taking money from the developer(s) they use to live on.

Would you like me to reach in your wallet and take a twenty dollar bill from you and brag and recommend others do it too?

I do not think so.

If you are going to behave this way with your first post, I think you may want to go elsewhere as you will not be warmly embraced here.

David

I wouldn't put too much stock in the KKK thing. It is his initials and he isn't American so he may not even know about it.

Someone else talking without having proper information.

He is, I believe from Russia and therefore not aware, probably of what the meaning is for someone living in the United States.

You did catch the part in his last post of a language issue?

Even then, this gives you the reason you feel you need to take money from him?

I think you are just looking for a fight and a reason to steal from this guy.

Must be nice to think this way, unfortunately, I have a conscience.

Hey everybody,

WOW! Now I'm kicking myself for saying I'm kicking myself. Just to clear up my opinion, I tried Pontui Home first. It was free, and I thought it was pretty cool. Next, I downlaoded a trial of SPB Moble Shell. Again, I thought this was cool also, but I ultimatley brought it.

Granted, no softwre/app is perfect. Moble Shell isn't without its faults and Winterface isn't bad. I was just saying between moble shell, Pontui and Winterface, I like having the information that's important to me right there on the home screen. Winterface gives you the ability to move the icons around and I moved those icons that I needed to the first screen, looking at them at a glance however, I thought they were too small. I am always looking for cool apps to make my Tilt the best handheld where ever I go.

BTW, Winterface is the "coolest" name for an app that I've come across

after reading you guys post i have tried the program and must say the only part i like is the slide to unlock, the rest is pretty much like a iphone without the wow factor,..and where the hell is the weather,i though they said it was on here, and how long is this trial?...and lets say i click on battery,is there a theme that would make it so the background on that screen can change to a black,so it matches more with winterfaces black theme?

Thanks a lot for your feedback! We’ve got lots of wishes of how to make Winterface even better so we’ll try not to disappoint everybody’s expectations and work hard on improving Winterface.
By the way, VITO has started its blog iWindowsMobile blog, if you want to learn more about the application you are welcome to read extracts from different reviews on Winterface.
For our convenience it would be great if you post your ideas on improvement of the program there.

Hi everybody! I posted a review where I compared Winterface and SPB Mobile Shell at iWindowsMobile Blog. There's a lot of pictures there. As for video, it takes more time than expected but they will appear at the blog and at iwindowsmobile.com. Also, there's a couple of enthusiast videos at youtube on Winterface.
