How to prevent Tilt from accidentally answering calls (accidental screen contact)?
I carry my AT&T Tilt in my front pants pocket, with the keypad locked and in sleep mode.
When I receive an incoming call, the Tilt "wakes up", and if the screen / buttons are pressing against something, it could actually answer the phone call by accident. Like if I'm at a crowded nightclub, I receive an incoming call, and the Tilt accidentally answers the call because of screen / button contact, and the caller just hears lots of loud music, but nobody actually talking on the other end.
Is there any way to reduce the chance of this happening?

Funny story of similar situation. A few days ago, I posted about my screen being stuck in landscape mode. I am using the iPhone dialer program, and the "hold" square when in landscape mode pushes right against my cheekbone. For several phone calls in a row, before I realized what the problem was, I was putting people on hold every time I put the phone up to my ear. Now that my screen problem is fixed, that no longer happens...

That's how I had it setup originally. But the problem was that when I would get an incoming phone call, the Tilt would wake up, and offer options to answer or ignore the call. Screen or button presses could result in the call being accidentally answered.
What I ended up doing: I tried out a freeware called "S2U2" (Slide to Unlock).
And I set:
- Caller ID (Thumbnail)
- Slide to Answer (Only Locked)
- S2A Answer Key (OFF)
- S2A End Key (OFF)
Now, when my Tilt is sleeping (and auto-locked by S2U2), and I get an incoming call, my only options are to either silence the ringer (via scroll wheel), or drag the S2U2 slider to answer the call. No buttons or screen presses will do anything, so there's virtually no way an incoming call can be accidentally answered. But if I do want to answer the call, I can use the S2U2 slider to answer the call.

you got the link for that program? would like to try it out
I have been using S2U2 for a couple months now, and have had one issue. If my phone (AT&T Tilt, stock ROM) loses signal while 'locked' with S2U2, it won't always reacquire a signal unless i turn the radio off & back on using the comm manager (I have several large dead zones where I work). Some versions of S2U2 behaved better than others for me. v1.05 seems to be the best for me - I rarely have to turn the radio off & on again (maybe once a day), while 1.16 would almost NEVER reacquire a signal without using the comm managaer. Also, I have read on some other forums that 1.03 works the best on the Tilt.
If you have trouble finding older versions, let me know. I've got 1.03, 1.05, and 1.16 available.
