Question New to the tilt and have a few simple Qs

Hello all... well I bought it last night and Im already loading SPB software. ....

The main question is when I add a memory card will it act as root memory (For lack of a better term, will it get added to the C: drive) or does it create a new partition (D: drive or something)? I know Im using PC terms but Im just trying to put it in terms I can understand.

Im asking because I started installing programs and I was wondering if I should wait till I get the mem card... Im also concerned on where "My Documents" will sit and if I will have to move it to a new partition. If it does act as extended memory how hard is it to upgrade later?

SPB software seems to be really nice but I have a problem understanding their packages... do any of them over lap, i.e. have the same features or should I get each package for particular features?

Sorry for the questions but I did some searching and couldn’t find what I was looking for.

Welcome bvanderp78, I will try to answer some of your questions. The SD Micro memory card is like an external hard drive or usb drive for a desktop. Micros can come in sizes much larger than the device's memory. If you use up the memory of your phone ,just like a desktop, it will affect performance. Some programs must be installed onto your device. They usually mention that in the instructions. I install everything on my 8GB card. Just in case something goes wrong with the phone, I'll have my apps handy. As fas AS SPB software, I haven't used any so I can't help with that. I don't understand your question about IE. Are you asking for another browser or some way to tweak IE?

I believe he means "i.e.", not internet explorer.

Id est, i.e., "that is", is commonly abbreviated "i.e."; in this usage it is sometimes followed by a comma, depending on style.

Yes, the card is a separate drive.

Many different applications have overlapping functions.
It's best to use the trial versions of a few until you decide what suites you best.

It's a good idea to plan on redoing your complete setup once you are comfortable with the major programs that you want.

By doing a hard reset after the first couple of weeks, you are able to easily get rid of all the junk you may have accumulated and any errors you may have made, and then reinstall everything how and where you want it.
