I just got my tilt a few weeks ago and have just got around to getting a memory card and putting my ringtones on it. My problem is that everytime I create a ringtone (I cant remember the name of the program I use right now, but it was something that I downloaded..mp3 something I think) it sounds fine, but then when I put it on my phone and someone calls, it is SO ridiculously loud. I turned down the sound in the Media Player and I know I can just turn down the sound on the phone, but then I can't hear my alarm or text messages. Is there anyway i can keep my ringtones from doing this?

OMG, I wish I had that problem ! If you can remember the name of the program you downloaded, I'd really appreciate you telling me, as all my ring tones are ridiculously low in volume !

I do have a solution for you though, download a copy of Audacity and run those Mp3 files through it. Edit> select all (for the file) then go to effects, and select "amplify". Then adjust the gain levels by lowering them so that the wav form is not maxed out. You can play it each time you adjust it in order to see if it suits you better.

The one I've been using is called MP3 Direct Cut, my brother found it online and downloaded it for me a while back. It'll make them loud for you! :)

Audacity worked great, I can't thank you enough, I've been fighting with these ringtones for days now!
