easy external power question

Should be easy but I can't find the answer here or in the manual.
I want my Tilt screen to stay lit all the time when it is on external power.
OK, maybe not all the time, but when I travel, I want to plug in my Tilt, put it by my bed and use it as an alarm clock. The alarm clock part works, but when I wake up at night and want to know the time, I want to be able to just look at the Tilt and see the time. Any way to do this?

You need to adjust the screen brightness. Clikc "start" --> Settings --> SYstem --> Backlight. You can than adjust the brightes levels when plugged in and when on battery. Then selec the "External Power" tabat the bottom of the screen, and unclick "Turn off backlight if..." This will keep you lit up when plugged in all the time.

Thanks for the help.
Unfortunately, "Turn off backlight if..." is already unchecked. Has been for weeks now. Still, on plugging in my Tilt, after a few minutes, the screen goes black.
Interestingly, to me anyway, I have a couple of screen savers loaded and, one at a time, active. On external power, with the black screen, if I turn the Tilt back on, the screen saver is running. Pushing any key kills the screen saver so the screen saver part works. Just can't get rid of the black screen.
