I just updated to the new rom and reinstalled all of my programs. I installed a fresh copy oh HHC last night and put in all of my settings including the weather information. Last night it downloaded the correct weather for my city but this morning I noticed that it hadn't updated in 14 hours. Now if I try and get the weather it attempts to download but then it tells me it was unable to. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this is the issue or not, but my HTC weather wouldn't work until I got an updated and patched version of HTC Home. It was patched specifically for the weather issue (not connecting to local weather).

It can be found here under the name:
HTC Home Plugin v2.1 (patched by N2A)
PocketEmu Software: Downloads / HTC Home Plugins

I use that version and even on the new ROM I don't have any issue getting local weather.

Try a soft reset to clear up any hangups - see if that helps.

Yeah I tried that first. Like I said the weird thing is I never had any problem b/f the rom update. After the update it worked at first and then sometime over night it couldn't update. At that point I uninstalled it and then reinstalled again, but no change.

a rom update will delete any network settings you had previously applied. change your "programs that connect to the internet will use" setting to one that corresponds to your current network availability.

check your network settings, global, gsm (if applicable), wifi etc

I looked around on the web and this is what I found that has corrected it. I found a cab called htc home xplode. I uninstalled my htc home customizer and disabled htc. Then I installed the htc home xplode followed by hhc and all was fixed. I am an extreme newbie so I don't know what it did, only that it now allows me to see my weather.

Yo! I tried this and now my phone keeps rebooting! I've tried soft resetting and removing the battery. Will I have to do a hard reset to fix this?

I can get the default cities to work, no problem, in the new ROM with the HHC. The main problem I have been having is the custom database wouldn't get data for cities I created in the custom database. It would try and find data and then timeout.

I found someone who found a weather plugin fix, it seems. I have the new ATT ROM 6.1 loaded on a Tilt. Follow the instructions at *Updated* HTC Weather Patch Not Working? Try This. - Page 6 - xda-developers in post #52 using the mentioned .zip file in post #54. I can now make custom cities to my hearts content, as long as they are valid accuweather sites (as found by going to accuweather.com and putting in the city name/zip code you are interested in). It's nice to have it back...
