i was told that with 3G network (HSDPA) you could simultaneously download data and use the phone at the same time.

i have at&t tilt and the other day I was trying to use google map while talking to a friend on the phone (I was on 3G). I was not able to use google map because seems like it was not able to establish data connection.

was i wrong to assume both phone/data can work simultaneously on 3G network?

why didn't it work then?

can't TS the problem with insufficient information.

Try to do it again
test using different apps

call a desk phone and then try different internet activities with different apps

verify that you are in good 3g and not switching back to GPRS.
