2. Sometimes when I press the power button on the right side of the Tilt to turn it on, I see a quick flash but the device doesn't stay on. I then have to press the power button again to turn it on.
I had the same problem but I have it no longer. As posted here. Unfortunatly this working for me isn't really proof that it is the real cause and thus I do not know that it will work for every one.
I also found that voice command still works over bluetooth (in an earlier post I had stated it wasn't working for me). But it is now mapped to the secondary click on my bluetooth headset (press and hold for a second then release) instead of the primary click (press and release).

The problem was that after turning the device on many times it would immediatly turn back off. Using the RequestPowerNotifications sample I was able to see what was going on with the power manager when this problem occured. It appears the the device would go into a resuming state and then immediatly go back to the suspended state. Refering back to the article I published on Windows Mobile Power Management I remembered that if the device enters the resuming state and does not switch to another state then the device will suspend itself. The time to change state is usually 15 seconds. But OEMs have the option to change this time. Upon opening the registry path [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\Timeouts] I found the keys [ACResumingFromSuspendTimeout] and [BatteryResumingFromSuspendTimeout] were both set to 1 second. I set them to 5 seconds and I have not seen the problem since then. So it would appear the problem was caused by the new power manager that on the device being unable to change the power state of the device fast enough.
Whenever I open one mms in a conversation then tap OK, I am out of the conversation and then need to go back to the same conversation to open the other mms. The problem is that all other mms are shown as read and I have no way of knowing which I've opened and which I've not. Especially when there are dozens of mms within a conversation. There is no resolution through service provider. I hope I've posted this topic correctly and it hasn't been posted elsewhere. I've searched and found nothing on this issue. I also have the backlight issue (resolved with HTC backlight hotfix) and the flashing off of the screen and having to push the on button again which doesn't bother me. Any help is appreciated.

Depending on how you set the wallpaper image sometimes you don't get the option to change the transparency.
Some photo software allows you to set the wallpaper image and adjust the transparency that way.
If yours doesn't allow that, try Resco Photo Viewer, it's a great program.
It has a free trial so you can use it to fix your problem without having to buy it, But it's well worth the money.
I've read through the tread but i belive my quirks may just take the cake on this one first mine ran smooth as butter for the first week then......it happened my phone disabled all my soft keys and my keyboard everytime i bring it out of sleep mode it randomly types the letters wsdvx but that problem has mutatied into something even more ugly my phone refuses to come out of sleep mode and about every 10 seconds it asks me if i would like to turn off the power...i think its bricked and att has agreed to give me a new one free of charge however if anyone has any cures for this thing please let me know
I've given up on 6.1 and moved back to 6.0. When I upgraded to 6.1, I started having issues with the GPS on my Tilt: The first time I tried to use my GPS, it wouldn't pick up any satellites. I would have to make a second attempt just to get GPS to work. That would last until the next time I soft resetted my phone, then I had to go through the process again. I also had issues with ActiveSync: Some calendar entries would not sync from my phone to my company's Exchange server unless I entered them in through Outlook. I also would get strange Exchange connection errors whenever I was syncing my Tilt with my home PC. THEN I started getting connection errors between my home PC and the Tilt. I would have to disconnect and reconnect the Tilt to my PC multiple times just to get a successful sync. I looked up the support codes given for the ActiveSync issues via Google, but the basic answer I always found was "nothing we've tried works!". I finally decided enough was enough, found the WM 6.0 ROM for the Tilt, and "upgraded" back to the more stable option. Haven't looked back since.
I have the latest 6.1 ROM from AT&T. Every few minutes my device will disconnect from my bluetooth. The device is still connected to the caller, but I must hit the button on the bluetooth headset to hear them again. This never happened before upgrading to this ROM. Any ideas as to how to cure this?
Also, at times, when I place a call, the phone says I'm connected, but I can hear nothing on the other side. Any help here?
Takes a very VERY long time to get a GPS fix now that I upgraded. Used to be decently fast to get the fix that I could start my car and get going and would usually get the signal within a few blocks. Now I have to stand still a good 7 to 8 minutes before getting a fix.
When using GPS test, I cans ee that I get signal from satellites as quickly as before, but the GPS doesn't turn to ready before .. forever. I'm considering rolling to a cooked rom if it changes anything, and eventually back to 6.0 if that's even possible as I am a fairly big user of the integrated GPS function.
Hello - I have an ATnT tilt. I am looking for US maps software to be used without dataplan. Do you have any suggestions. I appreciate any help.
also see the problem with the power button - click once, screen flashes, goes back off. Requires second press to activate. Happens quite often, but I can't quantify.
Touch screen sensitivity also seems to be worse. My Tilt always was less responsive than other devices I have used. I really noticed when I brought out an old ppc-6700 for my kids to play with. I could barely touch the screen and it picked the touch. With the Tilt I have to exert quite a bit of force to get it to register during screen alignment.
I have tried some of the registry tweaks for the touchscreen, but they don't seem to help
