I had gone to the mall to look at the Tilt. I planned on getting one for Christmas. I knew it was out for a year so I asked if there was anything that was going to replace it. The guy said yes, but he didn't know the name of the phone.
So I googled it and found the Fuze. I think I might go with that in lieu of the Tilt, but who knows. It all depends on the price. It has to be 300 or below. Sprint is currently selling the equilvalent, the diamond for $249 with the new contract, so hopefully the Fuze will be around the same. I just called my local ATT store and explained that I wanted a Tilt but I heard about the Fuze. I asked him if he knew when it was coming out. The guy told me that his corporate office told the store that it is scheduled to be released on November 23rd, 2008 as of now. He doesn't know the price, but he also said that people are still really buying the Tilt as well. They may not pull the plug on it after all even with the release of the coming closer and closer. Now which would you choose? The Fuze doesn't Tilt though lol.

AT&T is still selling theTilt as they have them in stock.
They aren't too forthcoming with advertising the devices that aren't on the store shelves, so prospective buyers wouldn't wait for "months" until the new one comes out. Once the Fuze does come out, the tilt will be next to free (counting rebates) and the Fuze will be probably $300-$500 initially, but then go down after about 6 months or so... probably

I'm thinking of sticking to the TILT
I haven't seen anything, other than the touch flow, that makes the FUZE any better than the tilt. I LOVE the tilt function on my phone. The FUZE will not have that. What does the FUZE have that the TILT doesn't?

Which one to buy? I would wait until the Fuse actually comes out to make your decision. This way you can go back to the mall & actually hold the device in your hand. Hopefully they will have one that you can turn on & play with it.

Verizon Wireless is selling it but the Diamond is a slightly different device. It doesn't have a keyboard or a memory card slot but 4G of internal memory.

Actually, I work for a third party vendor for AT&T customer care, and currently the tilt (both 8900 and 8925) are listed as End of Life. This means that those devices will become unsupported within 6-12 months.

Im going to call my local Att store this week and find out if it is coming on Tues. Most things do come out on a Tuesday. I wonder how much it is for the upgrade price. I'm hoping that they will price the Fuze (with rebates) close to the iPhone. I saw the prices before so I hope that they are only slightly higher.

I just talked to the manager of an ATT store and he said that the Fuze will, in fact be released tomorrow. However, stores will have them in stock on Wednesday. Upgrade price (although not official) is $399 with a $50 rebate
