Iv read peoples advise on how to remove it such as "hard rest" then followd by a "soft reset" ... that didnt work so i heard from someone else that you do a hard reset and when your done with the istallation process then a little pop up comes up counting down from 3 on the home screen and was told to hit the soft reset when it did pop up and i do so and all it does is turn the phone off and it starts over with the installation process such as taping the screen and what not. It doesnt removed any thing it just resarts the hard reset all over again. Iv tried taking out the san disk and trying both reset ideas again an nothing. Please can anyone tell me the REAL way on how to clean the phone of any at&t non sense! I dont know if it helps but i have the at&t htc tilt tytn 2

If you're using WM6.1, you have to do the soft reset before the pop-up window appears. Takes a bit of juggling with the pen.

When the phone goes through the initial setup you align the screen, look at or skip the tips, than set or skip the password. There is 1 more screen after this where you click "ok" or something like that. Once you press ok, you are taken to a green home screen for a few seconds. This is when you soft reset. If the 3 second pop-up displays, you waited too long and will have to soft reset and wait again for the install.
