outlook problems on tilt with windows 6.1

About a week after loading unlocker and windows 6.1 on my phone I started having problems. First my phone quit send text messages. After talking to AT&T then doing a hard reset as instructed by them I reloaded my email the excact same way. My email quit working. After many hours on the phone with AT&T itstill doesn't work. They said buy a new phone. The message I get is ( cannot connect with current connection settings. To change connection settings, tap Settings.) We have went through all the settings with AT&T and they are correct by AT&T. Everything worked on Windows 6. and for a week with 6.1. Any ideas? One last thing I noticed it works when I'm snynced with my computer.

ttt

I read something on this problem and can't remember where I found it. I upgraded to wm6.1 also and I thought I checked everything to make sure all was working. Now i notice I have the same problem as you do.

The thread may be up on the XDA board but I am not sure. Hopefully someone will see this and chime in.

Is it possible that you are using a proxy server to hit the internet, on your PC. If this is the case, the proxy may have been updated on your device. Go to the connection settings and set the tilt to NOT use a proxy. worked for me :)

This might apply to texts as well. If you are only having trouble sending emails, but not receiving with ATT. There is a known issue with WM 6.1
ATT's solution was this: In you email settings for POP3, for the SMTP setting, instead of using "SMTP.your ISP.com", you have to use " cwmx.com ", nothing else but what I placed in the quotes. I heard of a patch being released to fix this, but from what I've read in other forums, this patch creates more problems than it fixes.

I never found the information I mentioned above... maybe I was dreaming it. However, I did delete my email accounts on the phone and set them up again and all is well.

I shared this with an associate having the same problem and if corrected his phone too.

I was odd that his phone and mine were working and then all of a sudden, this popped up.
