[TIP] - Make your tilt (WM 6.1) run a little faster...
Hello Group,
I've had a few phones (lots) and found that I tend to switch phones often. However, I found that I've been using the tilt longer than usual.
After I had upgraded the phone from Windows Mobile 6.0 to 6.1, I found that was more sluggish when switching to the today screen or expanding the built in keyboard. Sometimes when trying to make a quick phone call, I found myself waiting the phone to catch up.
One the features that I really enjoy are the enhancements that HTC brought to the today screen, specifically the "HTC Home" item. It has a huge clock, nice notifications and shortcuts to your favorite programs. However, it bogs the phone down. Sometimes function is more important than feature and in my case I've found if I disable the "HTC Home" item in the today screen, the phone responds a bit faster. If you can live without that "home" feature in favor for performance, then go for it. You can always turn it back on.
How to enable/disable items in the "Today Screen"
1. From the start menu select "Settings"
2. Tap on the "Today" icon from the settings screen
3. Tap on the "Items" tab
4. Select/deselect items.
5. Tap on OK when done
