For all those people that love Google Maps but don't have an unlimited data plan or go to areas with poor reception,
Terracrosser is a must have program. Terracrosser is software that comes in two parts. The first part is software that runs on your Windows PC and will allow you to download and save maps from maps.google.com using your PC. Once the map images have been downloaded and saved to a single map file you can then transfer the map(s) to your Windows Mobile device (in my case an AT&T Tilt) using ActiveSync or whatever other way you typically use to transfer files to your Windows Mobile device.
After that you simply load up
Terracrosser on your phone and it will activate your device's GPS and find you location on the map you just transferred to your device.
When you're downloading the map images you can select how many times you will be able to zoom in on the map, the more zooms saved the bigger the resulting map file will be. You can save either satellite images or road maps so the program is quite versatile and useful different situations. Hope this program helps a few people out, as its been great to me.
