[TIP] - Google Maps w/ Street View
Google Maps w/ Street View now available for WM without JAVA
To start Street view click and hold for a couple of seconds and select "Street View"!
Download CAB:
http://www.google.com/gmm/GoogleMaps.CAB
I am attaching a couple of screenshots for illustration.

No, it just works after you select the spot you want to view and then you move around with the arrows.

I am having trouble getting google maps to work with my tilt. It will not find my gps. Do I have to purchase some service from my provider as I am running the phone unbeknownst to my AT&T provider. Help! I really do not know how to setup the Google software either so I selected automatic and used com 1 at 4800 and com 6 for the other part of it. Can someone point me to a good place with a guide for this phone. Also Google Maps asks for a serial# and I cant find a place to get one. Weird huh?

If I remember correctly, you should have Google Maps set to look at the COM4 port for your GPS. I don't have GM installed on my Tilt right now so I can't tell you where to look settings wise, but that would be my first suggestion.

I have the newest goggle maps and the WM 6.1; my phone takes 10-15 minutes to locate a GPS connection. I have tried many different GPS programs and they all suck. Heck GPS gate kept freezing my phone. I set my phone back to the original WM and GPS lock takes 3-5 minutes. How long have you tried letting your phone search? Also you do not need a data plan to use the GPS. It is built into the phone and works automatically when Google maps sends the request.
