I'm new to the site, and I didn't find an answer to my question as I searched here, but here goes...
I have the newest AT&T 6.1 ROM on my Tilt. I've noticed that via WIFI, I can view information on the web through IE, that I can't via the 3G network.
I have a securities practice test site that I enter to study for exams. If I jump into WIFI (home or Starbucks, etc.), I can view the practice test questions. If I'm NOT on WIFI, the test questions don't load...
Can anyone tell me why this happens? And, is there a way around it?
****Skyfire has NO problem at all with OR without WIFI. But I don't like the way the zoom feature with Skyfire shows the material, and I have to adjust it each page. Painfully frustrating. Opera, like IE, does NOT allow the viewing of the test questions either. ONLY Skyfire loads the entire page when NOT on WIFI.

Thanks for your help...
If you have have a problem with the speed of zoom of Skyfire, I would strongly recommend Opera Mini (not Opera Mobile). It is a midlet application, but it is a speed demon and does virtually everything except multimedia. I do not know if Opera would ever push Opera mini in that direction, but right now, assuming that you have Java on your mobile phone, it is the fastest and most accurate browser you can get.

I have the AT&T Tilt with the latest ROM (6.1), And I DO have Opera Mini. It too has the same problem as Opera Mobile and IE. If I have a WIFI connection, the IE shows the data fine. It's ONLY when I'm using the PHONE (H, 3G) to access the website. But thanks for the input. Given the number of responses, it seems that I've asked a very hard one... Appreciate your input though.
But it sounds like you may have a setting somewhere in the browser options, that is controlling the content depending on the connection.
I know for instance that you can tell some browsers how you want to view the web pages, i.e. As a mobile device or Full page.
and whether or not to download images etc...
Perhaps there is something there somewhere.
Not very helpful I know, but It might point you in the right direction.
The problem has to do with how IE reads and displays webpages. Sky fire displays the same page as your computer, but IE displays only the mobile version (very frustrating). I have not found a way to disable that feature. And with my web programming background, if the designer of the website you are looking at, made a mobile version that is messed up, it will not work.

May be a silly question but do you have a data plan? I believe that to access the 3G network, you would need this
Yes, I have a data plan for my device. But I have solved the problem though assitance from XDA-Developers. AT&T has a hidden proxy that will prohibit some material from being downloaded to IE. I installed a cab made available to me, and that cured it. Thanks for helping out!
