Upgraded to Moble Shell 3.0 yesterday. I think it's pretty slick. I like that you can customize each screen to your liking including a "lifestyle" home screen. If you have a previous 2,X version the cost to upgrade is $15.

Does anyone know how to change the default media player from Windows Media? You can add a media player to the lifestyle screen and I would like to use TCPMP.

I just upgraded from 2.0 yesterday. Seems a lot more responsive, a lot to my liking.

The carousel is only for looks, it takes way too long to get from one side to the other. I like the other view better.

I also use Lifestyle instead of Professional.

Since I use WMP Mobile, I have no idea how to change it.

I like 3.0 alright though it certainly changes from 2.xx. I'd suggest you go to SPB's site and click on shell 3/support and select the recommended SPB Forums pointer and search there. They've got a ton of emails about the shell and much info on 3.0.

I downloaded it for my X51V and so far it seems like a memory and battery hog. Can settings be adjusted to change this? Are there other shells that are more memory/battery efficient?

It does take up massive amount of memory. That is one reason I was considering PPC Tech's 128MB RAM upgrade. SPB MS 3 does respond faster than 2, you should have seen 2's sluggishness .

IMHO, the intuitiveness of allowing gadget customization far excels Windows Mobile's default crappy layout (Which was just ported from PC) and iPhone's tile layout.

Another PPC shell is Touch Commander. Never tried it, so no opinions from me.
