Can't type in IE when phone opened

When I have my AT&T Tilt in opened mode (landscape orientation) and I try to type into any entry fields in a browser (the built in IE) the text isn't visible. I can see the cursor moving so it's there, but I can't see anything. I tried different font sizes, etc but the only solution is to go back to 'closed' mode and use the stylus/touchpad rather than the keyboard, which I prefer.

Ok I went into KaiserTweak and disabled ClearType or ClearText whatever it is, and this works now. Now if I could only get back the word doc that disappeared on me!
