Set Ringers to Repeat

On my last phone, a short tone would keep sounding ~1x/minute untill I acknowledge a text message. Is there any way to set a ringer to repeat untill acknowledge witrh Windows Mobile 5 (smartphone)?

The only thing that I could find on this subject was the following forum page, which describes how to hack the registry to do something similar to what you described. But I'd be weary of modifying anything in the registry. If you have since found a solution, please report it back here.
