Unlocking the T-Mobile Dash

Hey everyone,

I"m going to take a serious look at the Dash when it comes out on Monday, but I"m a "locked" in Cingular customer and wondered about buying and unlocking the Dash with some service or online. I know that T-Mob will unlock after 3 months but I don't want to switch. Anyone have a realistic solution?
Thanks

Hey all,

Just thought I'd drop by and give my opinion of this phone. I have one that is already unlocked and currently have service thru Cingular. In my opinion, I will never again get a phone that is locked to a specific company. This way, I can shop for the service I want and not have to worry about getting the phone I want from one particular provider.

This is one neat little phone. Slim, small, and light with a lot of features. One feature in particular I really like is the Wi-Fi. Other competing phones like the MotoQ and Samsung i320 lack this feature, which is really too bad. Too bad the camera doesn't have a flash/light and higher megapix, but it doesn't really bother me much since I have yet to use it. Great phone.

I won a T-Mobile Dash on another site. This is really a great phone. Edge is certainly slower than EVDO but the WiFi is great. Can't get my IT folks to do much on the Push Email so I"m using the SMS option. Works great and allows OTA sync so what the heck.

This is one of the ugliest devices I have seen on the internet, In hand this device is very sharp. I can't figure out why this looks so bad in pics since it is very sharp. Besides that this thing is awesome, I just enabled the JOGGR since I got mine from TMO and this thing is awesome. I have not missed the touchscreen yet and the reception on this is way better than my MDA.

I got a Dash from Tmo for about a week. I'll keep using it with Tmo but I would like to unlock it also so I can try to get it to work with one of the SuperSIM cards that allow you to use the phone with more than one phone #. I've heard that the phone has to be unlockd for this to work.

I've seen a service on ebay that claims to do it, but I have yet tor try it.
