Couple of hints that I found in the three days I've had mine: The Opera browser will not work on WiFi if the connection setting is Media Net. It will work on WiFi only if it is set for AT&T ISP (system/connections/advanced) Mail, IE and Opera all work on 3G and WiFi when set for AT&T ISP as the network, but you can't get the Media Mall. Mail, and IE (but not Opera) work on WiFi or wireless when set for Media Net as the connecting network. No difference in speed that I noticed. I just left it with AT&T ISP as the network, and don't have to think and don't need Media Mall. TomTom Navigator didn't like the pure, but haven't tried to reinstall it, and may not. Probably because the resolution carried over from the Tilt where it was previously was lower. Preliminary conclusion is that it is better than the Tilt, and has not had any problems that have been noticed. The Tilt allowed you delete one or two or five calls from the call history, and leave the rest, the Pure lets you delete all or none. It took a few minutes to get used to the touch flo, but then life is good after that. It locks on a GPS signal in 15 or 20 seconds with Google Maps, and Ozi Explorer. The slider to answer a call confused me at first, but once it is figured out, it is easy enough to use. Reception seems at least as good as the Tilt, maybe a bit better. In two years, the number of times I used the slide out keyboard was minimal, so why pay an extra 200 for the Tilt 2, when the Pure does the same thing and has a better camera? The ATT software update has not had success, It says there is one, but then it says it can't connect to the AT&T server. Haven't tried to figure that out yet. So far I think it was a well spent 150 bucks. Ready to watch the football games this weekend with DirectTV Supercast and the clarity will be better than the Tilt was. For RE pros, the Supra Ekey application and FOB both work just fine on the Pure. If you want IE as the default browser, you need to open IE, go to options, and have it check if it is the default browser, then change it. There is no other option to change default browsers that I found. We'll see how it performs in the next week or two, after I set it to be the modem for my laptop, and run it through the paces. Battery life seems satisfactory so far. Aloha all
10-17 The ATT update fails because there isn't one. Internet sharing and tethering to the laptop with ATT Communication Manager works fine. Gave up with TomTom, it has three year old maps anyhow. A new program with newer maps may be a choice. in the meantime, Google maps works.
