Send text message as ATT customer

I currently have a text plan with att that allows unlimited text from other att customers and 200 regular text. I was wondering if there was a way to send an online text as an att customer in order to take advantage of my unlimited text. I tried the 10digit@txt.att.net but I believe that it still counts as a regular text. any help? thx.

sorry if i posted this in the wrong section, i couldnt find a general section so i'm putting it here because i have an att fuze.

Hey bud, I just searched for the unlimited to all AT&T customers and i couldn't find it. I know being an AT&T customer you have unlimited MINUTES, so talk time between AT&T customers but i've never heard of unlimited texts.

So all you can do is test it. send 230 messages this month and make sure your last 30 are to AT&T customers only and see if you get billed extra for them.

or you can just do the unlimited plan.

Hope this helps sorry no one has answered you sooner if you need mroe clarification dial 611. They whould be able to tell you if you get free texts to AT&T customers.

Not sure where you got that txt plan. All I have is 200 messages, period.

If you log into your account on the AT&T site, there is a link somewhere that says "send a text message." I believe sending from the web site does not count against your message count. If you receive a reply, that's going to go to your phone and that will count. At least you will only have to "pay" for half the conversation.

I just called AT&T about an unrelated issue and asked about this. Logging in to the web site and texting from there DOES count AGAINST your text messages... Just to clear that up.

ALSO, if you use the IM clients built in to your fuze (Yahoo, MSN, AIM), they also count against your text plan... which I think is a CROCK. Actually, the whole text messaging charges are a scam anyway.

Actually sending when logged into the ATT site only charges the person your sending it to. And the plan that you have is for Unlimited to Att customers is an expired plan but your grandfathered onto it. You might want to see what your total minutes are, even with the m2m text and if less than 1500 total you might want to get the msg 1500 is $5 more but could help. I just re-read what you asked and, your wanting to send those to someone's 10 digit.att.txt.net from your email from phone or pc. b/c if it's to an ATT customer on your plan it's unlimited and no need for that.
