Thks radimus for posting your experience with the Fuze ROM upgrade process.
I've decided to get the HTC Fuze as it seems to be the first device to come close to resembling my Dell Axim X51v specs, and allowing me to fulfill my lust for CONVERGENCE - replacing 3 of my most used devices: my Razr2 V9 cell, Axim X51v PDA, and my Garmin 10x BT.
Unfortunately, my Axim has been relegated to be mostly used as my car GPS and for business travel only. I was disappointed that the small fortune I spent on the PDA + apps + utilities + accessories - not to mention TIME was being wasted by my Axim just sitting in my car's glove compartment. But, it was simply not practical for me to carry so many devices for my day to day activities and worry about all those batteries, chargers, etc.
The Fuze is the first device to seduce me back to the unfriendly, buggy, under-performing Windows Mobile platform. I can finally have it ALL on a decently sized cell phone that I can take with me everywhere I go and only worry about charging 1 battery instead of 3!!! (well excluding BT headset)
I'm really looking forward to using all my previously must have productivity apps/utils and so forth.
Having said that, I have been lurking over at XDA and other Fuze sites to decide whether to optimize/tweak or go for a ROM upgrade.
Frankly, if it wasn't for the new Fuze and those gifted XDA guys, I would not have considered coming back to the WM platform - I was just about to jump ship to either Symbian or the Iphone3G - yes, the Iphone is extremely limited but it's smooth and it simply works beautifully - best UI in the world. To sum it up: Fuze + XDA = give WM another chance.
After perusing over several forums, I came to the conclusion that NATF ROM v2.2 might be the most stable and user friendly for a noob just entering the rough waters of the Fuze maze.
Radimus, I'm looking forward to learning about your experience with v3.2. Good luck to all. :approve: Cheers
