Anyone tried any of the Windows Mobile 6.5 ROMs for their Fuze/Touch Pro?
I've been using the EnergyROM 'Photon' (SYS 23016) over at XDA-Developers recently and have thus far been pleased. I'd been using the earlier incarnations of the EnergyROM for a few months and have been pretty happy with them as well.
I'd played around with the TAEL ROM yesterday, and really like it, especially with the start menu button being placed on the status bar closer to the hardware buttons. I MUCH prefer that layout. The only trouble is, that ROM doesn't (yet) support the hardware keyboard properly. I will probably give it a try on 10/22, when the update to the ROM, presumably with better keyboard support, will be released.
I'd be curious to see what other people's experiences have been thus far.

I have been a fan of NATF's ROMs . Unfortunately last two have had some issues. I want TF3D, but the lastest version with TF3D has issues with ActivSync. I use my phone at work and ActivSync not working is a show stopper for me. NATF has also moved from a GSM phone to a CDMA phone. NATF is going to keep developing GMS ROMs, but will not be able to totally test them.
I recently decided to try some new ROMs. I almost went with the EnergyROM, but decided to try the Chrome ROM. I have two minor issues. Once in a while I have to soft reset my Fuze before Vista's Windows Mobile Device Center will work on my home PC. No issues with my XP machine with ActivSync at work though. I also love to play MasterSoft SodukoV2, but the ROM messes with the menu. I can play the game fine, but I can not get to the icon that let's me check to see if there are mistakes. I think I can fix the Sudoku issue if I can get some time to work on it. You might give it a try, because I use my hardware keyboard several times a week and it work fine since I load the Chrome aabout a week ago.
I've used NATF's 6.1 ROM for a long while, until the 6.5 ROMs came out. SSK's latest looks very similar to Tael's, at least in the Start menu placement. Thanks for that reference, oditius...I think I'll load the SSK when I get a moment and compare it to Tael's, which I've been running for about a week.
EDIT: Oops, nevermind. SSK's is apparently CDMA only.

I'm currently running RRE 23060 WWE with MobileShell

Rad, is the RRE a "lighter" build, one of the Titanium-type builds? Were you aiming for lower shell resources to maximize Mobile Shell performance?
Just curious...

There is plenty of ROM storage and most of my apps are on storage card anyway.
The light builds often leave out enough stuff that it breaks features that I use, like using Album to upload to facebook. This ROM works perfectly for me and has most of the cool new features available, like MS MyPhone, MS Tag (useless), etc. I even bought an app via marketplace... Just to flip off apple's store.
I'm apparently a version behind on this ROM, but it works so well for me, that I'll probably not change for a while.

I am currently using Tael's latest ROM -- True to his tagline, it has been the most stable ROM for me so far. I tried the EnergyROMs and liked the clicks and whistles, but it is a real memory hog, and more frequently locked up. Another thing I like about TAEL's ROM is having the task manager when you hold down the call key.
The only feature (so far) that isn't the greatest is the Call History screen - Most of the time I am looking for missed calls, and it takes two or three taps to get those filtered out.
I'd played around with the TAEL ROM yesterday, and really like it, especially with the start menu button being placed on the status bar closer to the hardware buttons. I MUCH prefer that layout. The only trouble is, that ROM doesn't (yet) support the hardware keyboard properly. I am using that version, and the keyboard support is fine!
Thanks for all of the links. I'm waiting for an official 6.5 for my Touch Diamond 2, but I'll flash a couple to the ax now and have a look. Mobile Shell is buggy on the TD2, and I think it has to do with the htc rom, but I'm persevering :)
