No word completion on keyboard

Hi,

I have just bought a Touch Diamond running WM6.1. I use the device for general messaging and taking notes so was looking forward to using word completion as I'd previously used it on my Dell Axim X51v running WM5.

However, after selecting all the options and then trying several variations, I cannot get the word completion to kick in.

My boss uses the HTC TyTn II with WM6 and he has no problems with word completion. I have copied all the options he uses in the hope it will rectify this but so far I've had no luck.

Any suggestions? Other than that I love the phone.

Thanks.

Greetings!

I am experiencing the exact same problem with my new HTC Fuze from AT&T. Did you ever find a solution?

I'm not familiar with WM6.1 but previous versions of WM had an "Input" option under the Settings menu. If you select it, there is a Word Completion tab that provides it (along with various options).

The diamond pro I got on Jan/09 has word completion. I realize that the OP posted his question Jul/08. I don't know if there is a difference. There's another group of settings in the Touch Input Setting tab.
