Now looking at these specs, a word "perfect" comes to mind. I still have no idea how could they manage to have 900 mah battery and have those talk/stand by times, but nevertheless, having all these features packed in that stunning metal frame design is mouthwatering. As a non-converged device's freak I must admit that that is the kind of device I hoped would change my mind.

The greatest thing about this jewel is the interface. Having that simple 2G phone interface for everyday usage supported by a powerful WM 6.1 core is amazing.
It would be useful for average consumers as well as power users.
Add an Opera 9 extravaganza and you have a perfect device.

I'm hooked.
Where do I swipe my AmEx?

By the way watching some of the HTC videos on the tube, i by no means think it's an iPhone killer - it's an iPhone exterminator!

I was think about replacing my X50 Mid by another device with VGA-screen. A few devices crossed my mind:
- iPaq 214, seems good but I'm a bit scared that they will do the "Dell-Move": they will simply halt development (e.g. no WM6.1 upgrade).
- Secondhand X51v with custom ROMs: How reliable is this? Of course the least expensive solution.

And yesterday I read about this HTC Diamond. It looks great. The drawback of this device (same for iPhone) is that it has phone-cababilities... My mobile phones usually die much quicker that my PDA. Besides, I use my pda mainly for GPS-navigation and listening to music. As I have a bluetooth carkit, navigating and calling simultaneously doens't seem to be very convenient with only 1 device...

You know, I hate this piece: "HTC ExtUSB™"

Means to do anything "outside", like using a standard stereo headset, charge, sync, etc, you have to carry around your adapter. Fortunately the all in one adapters are CHEAP online. I bought 3. 1 for home, 1 for car and 1 for the office. That seems to be the only drawback for HTC.
