MDA Audio Dropout WIth Bluetooth
Greetings!

I have a weird problem. I have the T-Mo MDA, using the update released a while back. Everything works fine... except... If I am listening to an audio book via Audible with my BT headset (Motorola HS850) it plays fine for about 30 minutes, then it drops out! No sound at all, through the headset, or speakers. A soft reset fixes it, but that is a royal pain. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas/suggestons? TIA

Off topic but... does your HS850 work well for voice calls? I've got a working HS850 but when using it for voice with my Wizard I find that those at the other end cannot hear me unless I scream.

Does it drop out with other apps Like media player or just Audible?

Do you have the auto gain for the microphone turned off. If you have Voice command installed it has you do this and it may be part of your problem.

Wow! I never expected to see a response on this! Thank you for answering...

It does not matter what application, or apparently which headset I use. I get the same problem in WMP, TCPMP, Audible, or any other audio based apps. Further, I get the same problem regardless of the BT Headset I use. I started with a Logitech Mobile Freedom (which finally broke off at the earpiece), moved to a Motorola HS850, then to a Sony Ericsson HBH-IV835. Today, I went and picked up an Aliph Jawbone (SWEET!), but alas, the audio drop out continues. It is really disappointing because at lunch I like to read and listen to music, but with only a few minutes of BT Audio, this is a big pain!

And yes, the audio on the HS850 is pretty darn good. Not so good in the wind or outside environment, but it has good sound.

I really like the Sony because it is really small. Problem with it is that I kept knocking it out of my ear, and losing the little rubber doo hickey's that stick in the ear canal, so I moved on to the Jawbone. This is a really nice device, but a bit expensive (119.99 USD at Cingular). So far, it works really well, except for that D**N BT Audio Drop Out!

Oh well, any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly welcomed. I have read a few other posts from other people, and this happens quite a bit from what I understand... Thank you again for answering, and have a great weekend!
