Hi,

As a long time Axim user I am considering the 8525. A friend has the 8125 and has read that using any wifi network, even his private one at home, will result in a charge to his phone bill. Is this true? Insane if it is. There must be a work around to solve this and not receive a bill from cingular.

Wifi usage will not be reflected on your phone bill. Just make sure you aren't really getting on the internet via GPRS or EDGE connection.

Well, tell your friend that he should check his connection. He's most likely connecting via gprs or edge(same difference). Or rather, tell your friend to tell that to whoever he read that nonsense from :P
