Exclamation Can anyone know the most recent fix\hacks\setting to help speed up our cingular 8125?

I was wondering what else can i do to speed up my 8125 more.

I have a 2gb mini sd card and every program that i have installed have been in the sd card i have the processor overclocked to 260mhz.

Is there any way to let the overclock run at that speed all the time? when the device hibernates it resets to 180mhz!! I don't want that to happen.

i have increased the cache and have deleted what i can fron the original set up from the phone (files).

Can anyone can let me know what else can be done? Maybe cut some files from the device memory and put them in the sd card?

Dedicate more memory to system and less to storage?

Or maybe because i am not storing anything in the device memory i can set the space that was dedicated for storage to operation memory??

Come on and teach me your best tricks:)

over at www.xda-developers.com
there is an app called registry wizard with upto date registry hacks and a easy to use interface.

there is another app called smartkeys that can enable overclocking after hibernation.

there is also a guide to basic install that will speed up your device, just search the forums for the above software etc

good luck

I am thinking about getting the 8125. I firend loaned me one for a couple of weeks and it seemed to work pretty well for a 200 mHz processor. Especially since I use a Dell Axim 624 Mhz daily also. I am sick of carrying both devices and want to go converged, but I am holding out to see if Cingular will pick up the HTC Hermes to replace the Wizard. 400 MHz processor!!!

I like converged devices and they work really well, I have a axim x50v which are hardly use any more now i have my wizard, i sometimes miss the vga but the battery life on the wizard is awesome and actually useable for gps and wifi browsing.

hope you enjoy which ever converged device you get.
