Just got the aluminum 8125 case from BoxWave..
Gotta admit too, I like it.. I was very skeptical at first, mostly because of all the openings in it, but so far I'm liking it..
I'll definitely post pics of it tonight when I get home, as well as a review..
Let's see if I can get the clip to last though for more than 2 days.. I had the Innopocket aluminum case for my hx4705, and I broke the clip the second day.. They're just not designed for my style of abuse I guess.. :)
Oh, and I got the black case, btw.. I really like it.. But enough rambling, I'll post pics later..

I got the black aluminum case from PDAir and love it! It does add to the size of the device, but I need some serious protection for my 8125.
The clear front that lets you see the screen without having it vulnerable is great. The only real downside for this case (and I'm assuming they're pretty much indentical) is that the opening for the direction pad and surrounding buttons makes them harder to access. It's also pretty obvious that this thing isn't going to be black for long the way I mistreat it, since the black is just a thin coat of paint.
I think I'll be buying another one of these to keep on hand as I am prone to destroying aluminum cases during the coarse of my job, but I haven't lost a pda yet thanks to these things.

Yeah, I examined the PDAir and Boxwave cases, and I'm willing to bet they're identical, they certainly look it.
Overall, I find that I love the case, however there's two things that are driving me nuts.
- Decreased reception. Might just be me, but I seem to notice a decrease in the signal strength when it's in the case versus out of it. Sometimes it's significant though, sometimes it's not. Could be me, but I think it's an issue with the case.
- The clasp. The way I wear my case, I have an issue with it occasionally opening on me. I wish they had put something like the type of latch you see on a toolbox on there, or some other way of securing it. I've had my 8125 fall out once or twice because of it. Mostly when I'm sitting down is when it happens.
Other than that, I can certainly live with the size of the holes and such. The clear screen was a huge deal to me, so i'm truly glad for that.
Overall, I have to admit, it's not a bad case.. I got the black on too, and those are my two biggest grips about the case. Hell, even the keyboard is pretty easy to use in the case. But yeah, I'm prone to destroying cases and phones during my job, and just my regular lifestyle. It'll be interesting to see how well the 8125 holds up. :)

I think the case does reduce reception a little, but I haven't found it to be a real problem yet. As for the clasp...I found that out the hard way today when my seatbelt opened the case for me and the phone went flying when I got out. The good news is that, despite falling roughly 4 feet sans case, it only has a couple of dings in the plastic housing to show for it. I may have to modify this thing with some sort of strap to hold it in place in case the "ejector mechanism" is activated again.

I'm glad to see you're happy -- if you have any problems later, I'll be happy to help you through 'em.

Other than the two problems I have above, that's about it. And actually, the clasp thing is truly the biggest issue. I think some sort of latch that you could lock it down with would have been ideal. I can live with the reception issue though..
And ultimately, I'm still very happy with it.. :)
Oh, and the screen protector is the best thing in the world.. I love the anti-glare..

I'm actually working on a mod for this case now where I'm going to drill a hole in the back to access the external antenna connector and mount a small antenna outside the case itself. Once I get the parts in I'll let you know how it works.

I am very much interested in this! Definitely keep me updated! Pics and everything! I'm getting pretty handy with my Dremel, and I wouldn't hesitate to do a case mod (worst case scenario is I buy a new case)..
Sweet!
