Greetings from darkest Africa - Proud new father of X51v
I'm the proud new owner of an X51v. It's busy charging downstairs under the watchful eye of our hospital pharmacist. It's the only thing that made me smile today - I had to put my dog to sleep last night so it was pretty glum.
I'm hoping that using my X51 will catapult me out of my disorganised finances, timetable and life, so we are going to get very well acquainted. I've been trawling this site for a few weeks now and everyone seems very helpful and knowledgeable - I have NO clue apart from an average level of PC competency so hope my questions don't seem too dumb! I'd appreciate it if someone could clear up these few quezzies for me (like I said, dof!)
1) I'm looking for a biochemistry/physiology textbook on PDA; can find lots of other stuff but not that. Any doctors or vets out there know of something like that? So I can brush up at a moment's notice before savaging a student
2)the diff between letter, block recogniser and transcriber?
3) In the manual it mentions sending SMS's - can it do that??? How?? I wasn't aware it could be used as a phone?

sorry to hear about your best friend.
1. try typing software for ppc into google and it will take you to some cool sites for software.. there are lot of Dr Nurses and other heath care pro that use PDA's so there has to be software for you somewhere..

2. transcriber and that no idea I use the keyboard

3. SMS's yes it can thru a bluetooth cellphone and with the right program

Welcome to Aximsite!

The transcriber allows you to write or print text...the pda will then transcribe it into "typed" text.

The block recognizer is similar to Palm's form of input, I think! I never use it.
