Greetings AximSite folks,

This is my first venture into the realm of Pocket PCs and Axims from Dell(Getting an X51v in the mail tommorrow *crosses fingers*). And you know what? Im so glad I found this site. Its a treasure chest of information and help tips.
(Had a Palm m130 and Palm z72s, so Im transitioning so to speak from Palm to PPC)

Everyone here contributes so much to making AximSite a worthwhile watering hole for all the Axim addicts out there. :)

I know there are loads of issues regarding the particular model(X51v) Im getting, but I took the leap knowing that whatever problems I had, I could temper using Aximsite as a help line. In the event Dell cant help.

Im listing Software that Ive Purchased, that I will Install. Any feeback on these titles would be great.

1.PI 2005
2.Pocket Breeze 5
3.SplashID for Pocket PC(Got this because I previously used the Palm version, which I liked alot)
4.WebIs Mail

Apart from this list, is there a list of freeware must haves for the Axim X51v? Maintainance apps? Game apps? Anything of good use.

There were a few fun items available to the Palms that amused me greatly. One was Palmasutra. Another was the highly addictive DopeWars. Are there any equivalents in the Pocket PC world that I can run on the X51v? Any other cool fun aps to be had? Let me know please :)

Oh and finally should I install the A04 rom update or just wait wait till A05 comes out? Any recommendations would be cool.

to the club.. there's a lot of us ex palm users here. Depending on how much software you've invested in on the palm side, you may want to have a look at styletap... works with a lot of palmos software (and may help you get out of your palmasura position )


And Pocket Clanger Theremin is a must :approve:

Welcome aboard Laro. Look in everyone's my pda for ideas, but you're off to a great start. Most of us came from palm, a few came from (gag) psion.

Yeah regarding how good the Ax is, I really cant wait. I feel like a kid on Christmas, high on chocolate and candy and surrounded with presents. :yeah:

I got it yesterday and installed everything I really needed on it. Now Ive got to crash test it.

Ive also turned on BT and done the ActiveSync Tweak to Manual. Anything else Im missing?
