Hello guys, Missed you. When I first started two years ago I was on here every waking day. Now I'm sorta good at it Thanks to all of my Axim family. I'll try to get on more often but my new position has me going.

I jsut bought a Nokia 6265i and want to copy some of my beautiful tsk files screensavers/backgrounds to my new phone but it says it doesn't support .tsk files. Is there a way to change it to jpeg to use on my phone or is there another solution? I've tried getting an answer from google but they only talk about what tsk means (cab file) that is used on a pda. But I know one of you will know the answer good or bad.

The 6265i looks suspiciously like my 6280. If it is a series 40 then you need to incorporporate them into a nth theme. you might need Nokia PC Suite which came on the Nokia CD or can be downloaded from the Nokia website.

Welcome back. You should be able to rename the .tsk file to .cab file. Use any archive reader that can read cab files, I happen to have alzip on my computer here, but others work as well. Open the cab file. The two gif files are your today screen and your start screen graphics. Many times they are really jpg files and all you need to do is change the extension. If not a graphics program will handle that for you.

The colors and the setup for your new theme will have to be done by a program for your nokia.

I'm sorry, I don't think you misunderstood the question, I don't want to make my themes from my phone to my PPC. I want to try to use the PPC .tsk files to load to my phone in jpeg form since the phone won't accept .tsk form.

You're very sweet but that won't work either. When I open a tsk file the theme generator comes up and I don't see a way to get around it except to delete it. I'll keep trying though. If I find an answer, I'll let you guys know.

rename it to .cab

open the file

extract the file

the file ending with .000 is the wallpaper.

Either way should achieve what you want, but Deecee52's should be the easiest.

With ThemeGenCe, if you drag and drop the tsk in the program you will find the images in the application folder (tdywater.gif, stwater.gif...)

With MSCEinf which works like winzip you can drop files from the Files Tab the files you want to the explorer (like Winzip).

Both these programs are freeware.

The alternative is to create a nth theme for your phone from your PPC .tsk file.

Followed your three steps below but here is what I got. Once I extracted it to my picture folder and tried to open it. I was open with: I said picture viewer but this all I got was the name of the extracted file with 000 behind it and a box of dots.
