I managed to get an X50v for the paltry price of 143.60 US$ shipped on eBay, and I'm enjoying it so far!
The catch, you ask? The owner attempted a WM5 upgrade, and got slammed with the 80% loading bug. However, one
SD card reflash to A02 later, and an extra hard reset, and it loads...wait, still 80%?
In desperation, I push the power button, and then it starts loading again-a bit of configuration later, and I'm at the Today screen!
I can tell I'm going to have quite a bit of fun with my new X50v, given that gorgeous VGA screen, graphics accelerator, and fast CPU...the only thing I wish it had was a thumbboard like my Palm Tungsten C, but a Belkin Snap-N-Type can fix that.
Now, to commence with the following:
-Install Widcomm BT stack
-Install PocketBreeze
-Install ContactBreeze
-Install iLauncher
-Install PocketSNES
-Install DoomGL
-Get a writeSHIELD AG to keep that screen scratchless!
-Get a thumbboard
-Hope I don't have filesys.exe hogging my CPU
-All sorts of other things I can't remember right now
Oh, and if the SD Image Loader thread link didn't tip you off already, I've actually been lurking around here for a bit. I just didn't bother to register until the X50v landed on my doorstep...
