Hi from the land Downunder

Hi everyone

I've been a Dell Axim X50v user for about 18 months after using Palm for two or three years. I still haven't seen anything better than this machine except maybe the Jasjar I thought looked pretty good.

I want to thank the community as I've been getting the RSS feed on my Axim and always good to see what's going on.

After updating to Vista and wanting to establish a wireless VPN I would also like to thank Ikehiker for his Wifi tutorials on this site http://wifi.aximsite.com/wifi_net.html, and Bob Cerelli http://www.onecomputerguy.com/ for his tutorial also. Great effort guys.

A bit quirky, but I now map to my PC shared drive with Resco explorer, but it's the Windows Explorer that sees the shared folders. Anyway it's a Vista/WM03 setup that works!

I also would like to thank Dell Australia for fantastic customer service. After about a year of use the connection to my cradle was failing and after about fifteen months would no longer work. I put up with it for some months, swapping two batteries to recharge in the cradle etc.

I had purchased an extended warranty when I purchased the Axim, so I rang Dell to see what would happen: no argument, they replaced my Axim within two days. Eugene, if you're reading this, customer service was incredible!

Anyway, hi all from r3dracer in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA :approve:

Welcome Good to have you aboard :approve:

It seems that the Australians aren't content with winning the Cricket World Cup, they are taking over at Aximsite too.

Welcome to the site from another Brisbane boy.

I guess it can't be helped that you are from Brisbane, we all have our own crosses to bare.
It could have be Melbourne, so that's something at least.
I'm starting to feel surrounded, will the real Sydney Siders please stand up.

Welcome aboard. Strap on your Straight Jacket and Dive in.

In that case, don't worry: you'll soon have the Webb Ellis Trophy

I've always wanted to go to New Zealand.
