Hi T-Mendes. Welcome to Mobilitysite. You'll find lots of good info and ppl here. I strongly suggest using the search feature if you have a question. It has probably been asked before. You'll also find surfing the forums to be very informative.
Enjoy. :approve:

First of all thank you very much for the warm welcomes :)
Life in Amsterdam is just perfect. As most of you are probably aware prostitution and usage of softdrugs weed, shrooms, salvia etc... is completely legal, and harddrugs are somewhat tolerated. Needless to say Amsterdam has a "perfume of its own". There are many coffeeshops ( you can drink coffee, but for the ones that dont know, its purpose is to smoke weed).
COFFEESHOP THE GRASSHOPPER
Interesting is the fact that prostitution is legal, the whores pay their tax like any other worker, and they have to take healthchecks etc...
A tourist coming here most likely comes for these 2 things, and they remain somewhat amazed at the people here that they are not hogging the grass or going past the Red Light district 5 times a day.

When you grow up with this around you, it just becomes normal whether you do these things or not. The city of Amsterdam is also a very beautiful city definitly worth visiting for other reasons than the already mentioned. Amsterdam is a city for every taste since there is plenty to do. The weather sucks generally, but once you get used to it.
Another thing which is quite fascinating about The Netherlands is the bicycle.
Most roads in the Netherlands have a lane coloured in red/purple for city bicycles. In Amsterdam there are more bikes than people ( 2 per person on average) and its important to lock them up because they are like gold over here. There is always a place for you to cycle and if there isnt, it generally is safe to cycle on the road.

Imagine finding your bike in this mess

Other things about the Netherlands, the food? it sucks, they havent got exactly many tipical dishes. They have some nice ones but generally you can forget about it.
the kind of thing that i wouldnt eat

you wrote inhalen-> Overtake ( as in overtaking a car) in a party way (feestelijk)?
This just shows translators are absolute rubbish, unless this really was what you are trying to say :P
