Hello all!!! I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Cassie and my fiance is Russ. We are the new owners of a Dell Axim X50v(?). It was given to him by his work. We are both learning about it together but we've found that the hardware to take things off our PC and put it on the PDA isn't there. We have the cables, but they just won't connect together. It looks like it has factory settings so any and all tips, hints, software suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Box

The hardware should be either a cradle that the Ax fits into with a USB cable coming out of it and an AC charger that has a round plug that fits into the cradle.

Or a USB Sync cable which will be USB on one end and a spade type adapter on the other which fits the Ax.

You will find some very good Stickies in the Newbie forum and the X50 forum.
Particularly good is "what can I do with my axim".

Feel free to ask any more specific questions.

Welcome Cassie & Russ. As mentioned by Box, looking thru the various forums will answer a lot of your questions. :)

You should also have the manual for your AX. If not, let us know.

There are a lot of clever folks lurking around here that can answer just about any techie Axim question you've got. Be sure to look at MyPDA for fellow Axim owners to see what software/system layout they have and what they might recommend.:approve:
