Longtime Palm user First time Pocket PC user
Hey all!

For many years I've been using one form of palm to another, my last one was the tungsten t3. I finally decided to switch to pocketpc and just bought an axim x50v. It rocks... fast cpu, ssh, rss, and ebooks look great (I just wish microsoft reader was optimized for it). Anyways, just introducing myself to the forum.

Welcome welcome welcome! You will find many differences in Palm and PPC and you should be very pleased. Once you get used to your X50 it will be as easy to use (if not easier) than the palm. For one thing, you can have several apps open at the same time whereas Palm could only open one app at a time. And you'll love this Axim site for all kinds of info and help if needed.

Welcome, otori. I, too have just changed from Clie to Axim. I haven't received mine yet. Today is the day, but I am looking forward to a long relationship with my X50v.

Welcome to aximsite and to the pocket pc community. If you dont mind, might I suggest ubook? Its a freeware pocket pc ebook reader that handles txt, prc, pdb, rtf and html. Its excellent and extremely fast compared to reader.
