Been lurking around these forums for the past couple of months and have learned loads! Finally decided it was time to join up. I'm intending to buy an Axim X50v around June (hopeing WM2005 will be out by then) - the info on this forums has been essential reading, especially regarding software, so thanks to everyone.
I'm aiming for an X50v + 8Gb Lexar CFII + 2Gb ATP SD card + TO IR Keybd + Boxwave Anti-Glare + PDA Panache Stylus
Oh, and the news about WM2005 I just noticed on Brighthand:
Well, you could wait for WM2005 but you see in the article they're already talking about WM2006. And by June there might be an new Axim too. Go ahead and dive in. You won't be disappointed.

No they're not, they just mentioned that as an example of using the new upgrade system that the article focuses on.

Thanks for the welcome guys - you have a real 'community' going on here!
DPPC: Why IR Keyboard over BT? Well...ummm...uses less battery power, easier to setup, eliminates all the difficulties I've read about on here with BT, and I don't think I'll ever need to use it too far away from the screen - oh, and it's cheaper :)
BrantNative: I could easily be tempted to jump in, but since I've already 'burned' my credit card this year with a Dell 2005FPW and a colour laser, I guess I should let it cool off a bit for a while
This will be my first Pocket PC, so I'm really looking forward to it - especially having learned about so much that can be done.
