This is probably a whole new thread. I was a palm addict and I still check all the sites. The Palm units do appear to be falling behind feature wise and I think WM5 may well be another factor that has a negative impact in Palm's next few years.

One of the deciding facors for me was the article by Tanker Bob which makes a very informative and enjoyable read.

And that says it all.

OS6 is apparently further off than ever and will probably not appear other than as a Linux skin. OS5 is probably going on 3 years old and cannot compete.

You cannot wait forever with PDA's, they need to be cutting edge.

I am a Palm convert. First used Palm strictly for business uses. Now with AX, business PLUS tons of fun ... mp3s, movies, gps, games, etc, etc.

Welcome to Aximsite. My first Axim an X3 was received over a year ago. I own an X50V now.

Chris posted a bunch of site stats a while ago:
Drop down to post #15 in this thread:

I bought my first pocket PC in 1981: a Radio Shack PC1. One line by 24 character display, 1.5K (yes kids, that's 1536 bytes!) of RAM. Excellent little machine - used it to learn programming.

Cheers for that. It makes for interesting and surprising reading. It's a shame stats are not kept anymore (does that make me a nerd?)

I bought my Axim within the last year, but I have used Palm OS and Pocket PCs for about the past 4 years.
