drive mapping

I am seriously looking for a FREE drive mapping software so I can easily pull files from my pc to my hp Ipaq 111. Or is there a way to get the files using the IE installed on my device? Can any one help?

It is easy to move files back and forth between a computer and pocket pc if you have both devices on the same WIFI network.

Do you have a WIFI network? Have you been able to get your pocket pc connected to it?

If so, you can open up File Explorer on the Pocket PC, tap Menu > Open Path > New Path > input the NAME of the computer you wish to explore. (this is how you do it on a WM5.0 device, but it shouild be fairly similar on a WM6.0 pocket pc.)

Before doing this you'll need to enable sharing on your computer and know the name of your computer. You may also need to disable your firewall (I have to on my network).

Some people have difficulties getting File Explorer to work properly, but there are other applications you can use: Resco File Explorer or Total Commander are both great applications that allow you to gain access to files on networked computers. I use Total Commander (it's free) and can listen to music and watch videos that are stored on my computer on my Pocket PC.
