Aximsitex3icon iPAQ 110 Stays on with battery door removed--Does Yours?

I mentioned in another thread that my iPAQ 110 doesn't seem to have a battery door switch. I wonder if others observe the same behavior?

With the iPAQ on, I removed the battery door cover--nothing happened--the iPAQ continued to operate.

I was talking with HP, they implied that there was a battery door lock; but, that didn't seem to be the case based on my test. A battey door lock could help prevent the following behavior.

When I change the battery (remove and replace), the iPAQ does a soft reset.

Does your iPAQ 110 do a soft reset when you change the battery?

Im only running the factory battery for now. I think the soft-reset after installing another battery is needed so that the device registers the correct status of the new battery.

No problem running without the battery cover here either. And mine also does a soft reset if I pull the battery and reinsert it.

I believe the switch is wher one of the two prongs on the battery would go. Thus a switch telling if there is a battery and not a door.
