Memory allocation

I have a IPAQ1940 and I am having porblems with memory allocation.
Currently have downloaded:
SBP Pocket Plus
Pocket Informant 4.62 + icon pak
Macromedia flash Player ActiveX
Netwasp Flash themes
SBP full screen keyboard
Rhinocode IPAQ Panel
Ewallet Pro
Pocket TV
Adobe ACrobat reader1.0
Microsoft reader and activation

I close programs that I am not running.
Memory allocation is 38.70MB -35.52MB used and 3.18MB free.
What can/should I do .
MP3s and MP4s are stroed separately on SD cards.

Get another card for your apps. That is about the best that you can do.

I agree. Your memory is being used up with too many programs. I suggest getting at least one more card, depending on how many music and movies you have. I have 4 256MB cards. One for music, another for applications, another for movies, and another for misc documents and stuff. Maybe I'm going a little over the top, but I like being organized.

I install 99% of my applications to SD card. No problem with Main Memory

Actually a decent amount of my memory gets used for Temporary Internet files. The 4150 has 56.77MB available, of which I currently have 17.45MB of free Storage Memory and 20.12MB free Program memory (just after soft reset). Using just over 19MB all up for running programs and occupied Main Memory.

Obviously as I open up more apps the 20.12MB of free Program memory creeps down but I have no issues at all with resources. However I'm very careful to install almost no applications to main memory.

Which applications wold you suggest I transfer to an SD card. How is that done?
I am not sure that something lile PI - which overlays the OEM PIM can be transferred to an SD card. I suspect that the same thing goes for the full screen keyboard by SPB?

They can be installed to different locations, however unless you have them specified and the card in the slot, they will most likely result in freezing.

On my iPaq 2210 I presently have:
storage 30.18mb allocated, 13.92mb in use, 16.26mb free
programm 26.93mb allocated, 10.71mb in use, 16.22mb free.

I also installed every software on my SD card. I have only Calligrapher and Macromedia flash player active X (only by choice); and Battery Bar (suggested by program maker) plus HPs Bluetooth drivers in main memory.

All others are on my SD card with no adverse effects:

Adobe acrobat reader, Pocket informant 5, Pocket Mechanic,
SPB full screen keyboard(with French skin (Hey nobody's perfect)),
Applian Super incridible software bundle, WorldMate SE,
Age of Empires, PhateWare PhatPad, Lextionnary,

Plus many demos:
Astraware PPC game pack 1 and 2, PDAmill Snails,
Handmark Monopoly, Hexacto lemonade, Hexacto mahjong, Hexacto casino, SPB freecell, GilbertPDA, Pocket star, Warefare inc, Tiger Woods golf, Astraware text twist.

I use my CF for pictures since that's what our 3 digital cameras use. I also intend to use it for my maps, the minute I get my Bluetooth GPS.

Your setup is fine except I would not install Pocket Mechanic to the SD card. I would install it to main memory. Since Pocket Mechanic has tools to format and defrag cards you don't want to accidentally damage something. Also the install notes suggest that the app should be installed to main memory. Other than that everything else is fine to install to SD card except for thoses apps that have today screen plugins.
